DYE VL uses intense pulsed light (IPL) technology, commonly referred to as photofacial, to address pigment/discoloration, red vessels/broken capillaries, hemangiomas, rosacea, acne, and pigmented lesions. The specific light wavelengths target the melanin and hemoglobin in the skin, often called the “browns and reds.” The proprietary In-Motion technique and contact cooling feature maximizes comfort and minimizes the risk of unwanted side effects.
The number of DYE VL treatments needed is highly dependent on the condition being treated. There is little to no discomfort with DYE VL treatments. Some people experience redness for a brief period following a DYE VL treatment and areas of hyperpigmentation/brown will first darken following the treatment, and then lighten as the skin rejuvenates.
ClearLift uses a Q-switched handpiece to emit short, powerful bursts of light which reach underneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production and to break apart unwanted surface pigment/discoloration.
ClearLift is safe for all skin types and can even be used for melasma. The treatment can be personalized with depth control spacers and energy settings to best address concerns and to optimize skin health goals.
ClearLift treatments are comfortable and relaxing, non-invasive, and there is no downtime following the procedure. Most commonly, a series of 4 to 6 treatments, approximately 4 weeks apart, is recommended, followed by quarterly treatments for maintenance. There are no treatments that stop the aging process! It takes 60 to 90 days for collagen to form, so results are cumulative and continue for several months following the treatment.
The SHR hand piece uses laser beams to penetrate the skin, which are absorbed by the hair shaft and then converted to heat; the heat effectively damages hair follicles, impeding the ability to re-grow hair, and without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Proprietary in-motion technology and contact cooling provides an essentially painless treatment. This treatment is safe for all skin types. Dark hair responds the best to treatment; thin, light colored, gray, and white hair may not be effectively treated with lasers as there is not enough pigment for the laser to target.
It is important to understand the hair growth cycle and how it applies to hair removal. At any given time, hairs are in different stages of the growth cycle. Only hairs in the active growing stage are successfully targeted by the laser. This is why hair removal requires multiple treatments at fixed intervals. Most people see a significant reduction of hair with just 1 to 2 treatments; however, a series of 6 treatments, 6 to 8 weeks apart, may be needed for full reduction.
Avoid plucking, tweezing, waxing, sugaring, or electrolysis for 6 weeks prior to treatment. Desired treatment area should be clean and shaved prior to the treatment. There is no downtime following this treatment and normal activities may be resumed immediately afterwards.
The Harmony XL handpiece is used to deliver high energy light pulses (1064 nm and 532 nm wavelengths) which are absorbed by the ink and broken down into tiny particles for the body to remove. This hand piece works best on blue, black, red, green, and yellow ink. Cosmetic tattoos are less predictable than body tattoos; therefore, a test spot is often performed prior to treating the entire area.
The number of treatments needed and length of time to achieve full removal will vary depending on size, color, and location of the tattoo.
