Kerri VanEe
Founder & CEO, ARNP

Founder and Owner Kerri VanEe is a Nurse Practitioner who has spent the last 25 years in the healthcare field. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999 and later as a Nurse Practitioner from Allen College in 2011. She’s continued her education through the study of integrative medicine, nutrition, orthopedics, and medical aesthetics. She has been a Waverly resident since 2004 and lives there with her husband and two teenage boys. When not at Essence she enjoys hiking, reading, kayaking, and traveling.
Olivia

Olivia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Allen College in 2024 and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wartburg College in 2023. She joined the Essence team in 2022 and continues to expand her knowledge through extensive training and education. She enjoys the combination of science and art involved in the nursing specialty of medical aesthetics. Passionate about empowering clients to be their most confident selves, Olivia focuses on enhancing natural beauty through treatments tailored to personal needs. She believes in the power that self care has on living our most confident lives.
Katelyn

Katelyn is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for aesthetics, wellness, and helping patients feel confident in their own skin. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Iowa Community College and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. Prior to becoming an ARNP, Katelyn worked as a registered nurse, where she developed a strong foundation in compassionate, patient-centered care. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, learning about health and nutrition, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. Katelyn is passionate about empowering patients to look and feel their best while supporting their overall health and well-being.

Lauren joined the Essence family in February 2024, bringing warmth and dedication to every patient interaction. With a big heart and genuine care, she takes time to get to know each patient individually. Outside of her role, she enjoys reading, quality time with family and friends, staying active, especially through coaching volleyball. Lauren's creative touch shines through in all content you see on our social media pages, where she brings Essence's values to life.
Marina

Marina has been part of the Essence Aesthetics & Health team since 2022, first as a Medical Aesthetic Assistant and now as a Licensed Aesthetician. She specializes in eyelash extensions and brow treatments, including threading, laminations, and tints. With a deep passion for enhancing natural beauty, Marina provides expert skincare recommendations and guides clients through the wide range of treatments available at Essence. Marina earned her Associate of Arts degree from Hawkeye Community College in 2023 and graduated from the La’James International College Esthetics program in 2025. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors on her family farm with her dog, traveling anywhere and everywhere, and crafting unique permanent jewelry.
