Alma VascuPen is a pen-shaped laser designed to target vascular lesions on the face. This precise treatment is non-invasive and works by heating and closing off the targeted lesions. VascuPen effectively targets superficial blood vessels, cherry angiomas, and broken capillaries, without damaging surrounding tissue. This treatment is gentle, safe for most skin types, and has minimal downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Plan for approximately 30 minutes for your VascuPen appointment, depending on the size of the area(s) being treated. During the procedure, you may feel a warming sensation or light snap as the laser targets the blood vessels. VascuPen can be combined with several other treatments.

  • There is little to no downtime after a VascuPen procedure. You may experience mild redness or swelling, which typically resolves within a few hours. You can resume your normal activities and skincare routine immediately after your treatment.

  • Most patients see immediate improvement of the vascular lesions, while full results may take a few days. Additional treatments may be required, especially with rosacea and other conditions that are recurrent or ongoing.

  • The number of treatments will vary based on the severity of the vascular lesions. Treatments can be performed every 4-6 weeks until desired results are achieved. Your provider will create a treatment plan tailored to your specific skin concerns and goals.
